I am just about to launch my online store and was hoping for some clarification regarding VAT and distance selling.
My understanding is that I don't need to register for VAT here unless my turnover within the UK exceeds the £79k threshold.

As for the PCI DSS monthly fee, wouldn't I have to pay around £80 annually to remain PCI compliant anyway? Unless I'm mistaklen regarding PCI requirements, this works out £20 cheaper...

You complain about Shopify charging transaction fees and say you don't want to share your profits with a shopping cart company. Well, virtually all other cart companies charge more per month than Shopify (roughly 40% more). Aren't you "sharing" your profits with...
