Oil prices have gone up because of the Iran war so shipping companies are adding a fuel surcharge on top.
Most freight coming from China has been going around the Cape for ages so not much of a change there anyway.
If you have to go through the Gulf/Hormuz then the War Risk Surcharge will...
Can't say I disagree. There are some really bad downsides to selling on Amazon and it can be very frustrating. However, no business is perfect and no matter what you do there will always be problems. On balance, I still find Amazon a fantastic business model despite all the frustrations.
If you...
Sorry for the slow reply. I was out of the country until last night. I am going to lay out Amazon's rules below. Please don't think I am patronising you and I am sure you are doing everything by the book, but just in case...
Products sent into FBA must be labelled correctly. This means either...
Sorry - been crazy busy and forgot to check for posts!
Yes I am afraid you have no choice. You have to register for EPR, although Amazon can handle the rest of it through their managed 'we pay on your behalf' service. It isn't Amazon's fault this time - it is EU nonsense (but coming to the UK...
I use Airwallex for receiving money in different currencies and then transfer it to Halo for free. If I then use the Halo account to exchange money, I get very close to the bank rate and then there are no fees to make a payment.
e.g. I receive Euros for my Amazon EU sales into Airwallex. I then...
The big problem with this is delivery time. Everyone is in a big rush these days and many will click on your listing/PPC ad and then pass when they realise it will take days to arrive. This massively affects your conversion rate, which teaches the algorithm the listing is not relevant for the...
Sounds right. My products ship inside Germany using Pan Euro FBA. I send my stuff from the UK to Germany and Amazon spreads them around the FC network for me.
If you shop on Amazon UK and enter a German shipping address, they will often ship from the German FC, if the seller has inventory there.
I would do it as personal with to and from work. If you do it the other way around, I think it will be a lot more expensive. You can charge your business mileage costs (not done this for a while but it used to be 45p for the first 10,000 miles and 25p after that). It might have changed (I have...
This makes me chuckle. This is huge in the US (I spent some time there when I was younger and keep in touch). People rail against the system, surveillance, tracking, IDs, etc and try to stay 'off the grid' but then carry a smart phone around with them all the time which does all of that anyway...
Very much so. Germany is the second biggest Amazon marketplace in the world after Amazon.com and much bigger than Amazon.co.uk. About 1/3 of my total sales come from Germany and over half comes from the EU.
You can list on amazon.de and try to ship from here but you will suffer bad CVR because...
Yes - debit cards need money in the account for Amazon to be able to charge you so they are often problematic. I've seen the odd client get one through but the vast majority of problems are caused by trying to use debit cards.
In theory you can use debit cards (and Amazon states this) but in practise, it is better to use a credit card. For Amazon to be able to take money from a debit card, there usually needs to be money in the account, which is out of amazons' control.
