If my gross income from dividend and salary was just below £50k and then with savings interest takes total gross income to just over £50k would there be a requirement to declare the need to reduce child benefit. I'm not clear as to whether the requirement is income of over £50k gross or net...
Many small businesses especially cleaning agencies think that self employed is the best route. But as pointed out HMRC will make a determination as to whether they consider the staff self employed or employees. I would take legal advise before starting up.
I was convinced that my dividends should be showing on the SA302 and you and others have now confirmed that! @UK Contractor Accountant, I filled in dividends under the TR4 but looks like I didn't also place the dividends in this initial section. Thanks for clarifying.
An SA302 form is a summary of your income that has been reported to HMRC. Mortgage providers often want this as proof of your earnings for a tax year if you are self-employed (director of service company)
Therefore if the majority of your income (that you have reported to HMRC on your SA) comes...
So is it the case that an SA302 will never show dividends that a director has taken? This seems very unusual as an SA302 is supposed to be a reflection of ones income. I would be interested to know if any director who pays themselves dividends has seen these dividends shown on their SA302.
I...
May be a bit late, but the contract you signed should state exactly how notice should be given. Usually contracts state in writing sent by recorded delivery. To be sure I would do it this way, rather than email.
Have completed my self assessment online. As director of my own Ltd Company I take a minimal director salary (as most directors do) and the majority of my income as dividends. However, having just checked my online tax calculation (SA302) it just shows income from employment as just my minimal...
Yes and no. There are plenty of online furniture companies trading succesfully with multi-million pound turnovers. There are many customers therefore who clearly are happy to shop online for such products. Those that want to touch what they are buying will go to a department store. However to...
It's a niche sector and you'll usually find the fees charged will work on a sliding scale proportionate to the starting salary. I'd imagine 12-25% would be normal for perm, but that's a guess. Some agencies state their fees on their site or as others have said reach out to the REC and ak advice.
We had a local 'spit and sawdust' type bodybuilding gym near us. It had to move with the times and much to the dismay of many die-hard members, built a women's only section to the gym with treadmills, power plates etc. You may need to decide if there's enough demand from your expected clientele.
@Chelios many thanks. I assume this only works though if you have just one website under your google analytics account? If you have numerous websites in the same google analytics account with a single email login, I'm guessing its impossible to transfer ownership of just one of those websites?
If the reason for charging 5p for a plastic bag was really to save the environment and cut down on landfill then why not simply get rid of them altogether - we then all use a bag for life? Simply letting us carry on using them but charging us a minimal 5p seems like an unlikely solution to the...
Is it possible to transfer ownership of your analytics and webmaster account to someone else. I'm not taking about giving someone else restricted access permissions, I'm talking about giving them full control and removing yourself. I believe that if you set the accounts up with a gmail email...
Site stats and visitor behaviour will be of interest to a potential buyer and they will want access to your web stats not just a 'screenshot' you email them. Give them read access to Analytics, this and access to your accounts if the site is making money. As others have said I'm sure the level...
