shire leasing/investec

Just seen peoples comments regarding Empcom. I was contacted by Tony Burke (ex DAISY!!) who was now with Empcom and I parted with £630, the final payment to be made when it was all sorted, this was November 2011. After numberous emails to them and telephone calls which they very rarely returned, we are no further forward in what he promised would be a lease release within 3 months. !! I have all the emails and paperwork relating to my case and a telephone number for Tony Burke, so if anyone wants to collate proof of "possible" miss selling then I have it. These leases are all to do with telephone equipment through DAISY, by the time I have finished paying it would be over £21,000. Far more than any telephone equipment is worth. Is anybody else in this situation?:|

Hi Everyone, I have discovered this site and I can add myself to the list.
I was originally contacted by Karl Painter and decided not to proceed in spite of his assurances with regards to getting money back from Daisy.
Some time passed and then he came to see me again with an absolute assurance - in writing - that if Empcom were not able to get me out of my contract and return back to me back at least £6000 in rerospective payments I would receive my full (or is that fool) £2500 back.
After proceeding there were numerous messages from me and replies saying the process was going ahead which finally resulted in a letter on 17/05/2013 informing me that the case was going to take longer and that I should be patient, one month later I recived notification from a Victoria Robinson informing me the company had been sold to "The Compensation Team" but she assured me that the agreement put in place by Empcom will be "honoured in full by the compensation team".
I am not holding my breath!!!!!

Mr Angry and others,

I have been conned by these people on the promise of 100% return of £1200 I paid them. I have a written undertaking to return my cash in the event of no success after 3 months.

12 Months on, I now have County Court Judgement against Empcom and am seeking to enforce it but there is only an accomodation address.

Any ideas as to the whereabouts of Karl Painter? I want to send in the bailiffs and when I find him I will contact police with a formal complaint of fraud (dishonestly obtaining a pecuniary advantage). Any info welcome, this is not about the 1200 quid now, I am prepared to employ any legal method to deal with this blatant thief.

DONT PAY HIM ANY MONEY!!

Hi all,
We are also one of the companies that suffered the collapse of Global
and we were members of 'Give me my money back' Action group and also
paid Empcom £4,500 with promise of getting back £18,500 or our money back.

Has anyone got any further with the Police, BBC Watchdog or County Courts ? I emailed Empcom and Karl Painter and had no replies. I emailed
the faclities company that manage the building of their address and had no reply.

I am willing to give information to the Police or Watchdog if anything is developing. look foward to reading your posts

We are also another company that have been fleeced by Dick Turpin and his gang known as Empcom. We put down £1000 with a promise to get us out of our ridiculous leases from Shire Leasing / Investec / BNP, with a further £1000 to be paid once we were released from them.

Since then we received a couple of e-mails saying they were "still looking in to it" - basically just stringing us along. However we have now not heard from them in months and don't see us getting our £1,000 back. Should've just burnt it!

I hope more people come forward as there is probably hundreds that were robbed of their money. Hopefully then somebody can be held responsible, because they're probably sat on a Jamaican beach laughing at us!

I also parted with nearly £2000 back in February 2013 to Karl Painter from Empcom. I asked for references and was given 2 companies who I called and they both said they had received their money back and were happy with the service from Empcom!! Obviously they are also in on it!!
This scam appears to be very big. We were contacted about our leases with Daisy Telecom, both Karl Painter and James Hutchinson have worked for Eurotel (taken over by Daisy) They claimed that the rep who looked after us was well known for cheating clients. He has now left Daisy and contacted me today to say that he knew nothing of this until now. He is happy to be a witness if needed. I have contacted Trading Standards, the Fraud Squad and Watchdog, no one has replied!!

There must be something that can be done about these people. Anyone with further info available, please post.

Oh dear - not liking what I am reading !

I signed up for them in May after a guy called Karl Painter came to see me. We were signed up with a telecoms company called 4com for a 7 year lease which is going to cost my small business £19,000 over the 7 years !
Call me cynical but I just called Titan whose building they (EmpCom) are/were supposed to be in and they lady said she had been there 5 months and they had not been there in that time. Given that I only signed the agreement at the end of May and the mobile telephone number for Karl Painter appears to be dead I am now worried given that I handed over £1620 !
Karl told me the whole process would only take 3 months - well over a month in I have not heard a thing and my e-mails are not being answered so I fear the worst !

Greatful for any info - preferably positive though

Paul

Hi Paul

Sorry but I can't give you any positive info either. We were taken by Karl too. Have you taken your case to anyone? I think the only way we will be listened to is if we report it to the same organisations to put pressure on them to help.

regards
Yvonne

Hello All

Depressing reading! We were duped by agressive selling into a lease arrangement by Eurotel (now Daisy) in purchasing telephone equipment several years ago. Have been left with a lease that has proved difficult to secure a release from & Siemens Financial have been wholly unreasonable & ignored some emails completely. End of lease is imminent & awaiting further responses from them. EmpCom were all ex-Eurotel employees, none of whom we could trust so relieved we refused their offer of help...generous to a fault. This whole telecoms/lease package has been my worse & most expensive mistake in 25 years of business. A company of Siemens standing really ought to be careful who they get into bed with & should also be reasonable in showing at least a degree of goodwill when appropriate circumstances are proven .
