Goods stuck in Chinese Customs - Shenzhen - DHL Delays

Has anyone had their good stuck in Chinese customs this week?

Have they been released yet?

Apparently the Chinese customs are checking every parcel leaving Shenzhen because they found 2000kgs of counterfeit dollars going through customs.

My DHL parcel has been stuck in Shenzhen customs since 19th September. It normally takes a couple of hours to pass through.

I had another parcel leave Shenzhen via DHL on 22nd and its already arrived.

Most parcels are in a queuing system for the past 10 days.

Small parcels will get through more easily.

Also, it depends on the products being sent, how quick;y they get through.

Is it taking 10 days for goods to clear customs?

The problem is that Hong Kong customs are checking each box and each lorry that's arriving from China.

This has as much to do with Apple booking most of the cargo space as well as looking for counterfeit items, iphone 6 included

There is a China holiday coming up next week (Starts 1 October) for 7 days, which will only compound the problem.

You will also find that many agents will/have put their prices up.

As long as there are no naughty things in the parcel they should start moving within the next 2 or 3 days.

They seem to be good a sourcing new products and getting them cheap than you find on Alibaba
