Xero and Shopify

I have an ecommerce business using Shopify, and I'm looking to move from Kashflow to Xero. Some questions:

• Do you integrate Shopify with Xero to get all the transactional data - not sure if this is too granular as there would be so many transactions in there?
• How important is it to import the data in Kashflow (which has data from 2015)?

Xero cannot export invoices in bulk so practically useless but others may suggest the answer you need.

There are plenty of apps that integrate Shopify with Xero. Xero isn't designed for more than 1000 invoices per month though so you would most likely need to export payouts rather than individual orders presuming you have more sales a month than 1000.

If you want to export all orders from Shopify to accounting software then QB can handle large amounts of invoices, I'm assuming Sage would be the same but don't have any experience with them.

With regards to moving your data again there are apps that do this but I don't have any I'd recommend.

I use Xero and Link my books in my practice. LMB generates invoices based on payouts and includes all fees and deductions from Shopify. There is direct integration between Xero and Shopify. I tried it, and it did not work properly for some reason. LMB also integrates with other marketplaces like Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, and I think it is the only one at the moment that integrates with TikTok shops, which is the big thing at the moment.
You alone need to consider is it worth exporting everything from Kashflow or you can just migrate the trial balance at the year end together with debtors and creditors. I know that Xero does not delete your account and you can reactivate it later if needed, just log in and pay the monthly fee. I assume it would be something similar with Kashflow.
