Would You employ the Mother-in-law in your business?

Unsure but she seems keen to impress and says she could increase my sales

I wouldn't have a problem so long as she knew I would treat her like any employee and expect 110%

No way ever, I would never work with mine. My husband had to work with his and they argued like cat and dog...Never again would I work with any family member.

No way, my mother in law is a monster in the workplace. I'd hire my mum or dad though as they would be assetts to the business.

I would never involve family in a business cos it usually ends in tears. Unless your really sure this wont happen dont bother. 8)

I employ my daughter and keep well out of the way when she is having a bad day, which she says I am normally the cause of this :lol:

My cousin made the mistake of doing this once. He broke up with his partner 6 months later and his Mother-in-Law basically wrecked his business from the inside out as revenge. Lovely.

Well I do employ my mother-in-law, and I used to employ my sister-in-law. It takes some careful people skills, but it actually works very well.
I employed my own mother for a few weeks once, and it turns out I can work better with my mother-in-law than my real mother
