Hi all

Ive recently terminated my current contract with my employer. I had agreed to purchase a laptop from them for a fee of £500 which was taken as monthly payroll deductions of £50. I handed in my notice this this month and paid total of £400 altogether for the laptop and now they are asking for it back. However they have previously not paid my wages and haven't paid my final pay. I've said I'm happy to send back but only once I've received the £400 I've already paid along with my final pay. They however are stating that it's company property and want it back. What is the best way to deal with this here?

What exactly did your contract say about the laptop?

And what reason have they given for not paying wages or final pay?
