I was looking for some flash drives and there really isn't any point me buying wholesale because by the time you have added VAT some become more expensive than retail prices so I might as well buy them retail because my proft margin would actually be more.
I think - although i am no expert in this but it would depend on the quantity you are after. Wholesale becomes more interesting when you are talking huge quantities. For smaller, as you say, it would probably be cheaper to do it retail.
Any wholesale experts out there to correct me if im wrong ???
Too right, I used to sell GPS and SatNav equipment on ebay and found wholesalers to be more expensive than some high street retailers. Alot of the time I brought from web retailers and sold for a healthy mark up on ebay. I've also found you can buy goods on one Ebay country site and sell on another and make a good profit.
Until recently I was buying goods on Ebay UK, having them shipped over then selling them where I live on ebay Canada. Sadly the exchange rate has put an untimely end to that.
