Hi Gav,
I know someone that may be interested in this as a part time business .....

Can you please confirm the following:

1. What is the website URL?
2. How much traffic does the site get - unique monthly visitors for last 6 months?
3. Is this search engine traffic or are you paying for traffic via Google AdWords?
4. Is the site generating any revenue? Past earnings for the last few months would help.
5. What other expenses are involved per month on average?
6. Why are you selling the site?

Kind regards,
Tony

Private approaches you may get in the thread here or via PM may not be competitive. To ensure you get the best price you have to put your site before the right buyers - and several of them.

Places like digitialpoint.com are free to list but have low quality buyers most without much money to spend anyway. Flippa.com may have buyers willing to spend a bit more but it is so full of junk that the best buyers don't bother monitoring it any more. acorndomains, sedo etc are best for domains, not built-up sites.

I've put together a page here of the main places in which to sell your site.

However, as you refer to your site as a "startup" site, I'm afraid the best places are going to be where the rest of the domain+template "wannabe" sites are sold - the places where people try to offload sites not for what the sites have built up in traffic, earnings, members or backlinks, but for the "potential" they have i.e. sellers who've realised they can't make money with the site and try to convince others to buy their failed projects off them. The best locations for these are digitalpoint.com and Flippa.com. DP is free and Flippa is $19 + 5% of the final selling price (with a ceiling "success fee" of $499).
