What will the mods do with the sour members on this forum?

I hate to keep banging on about this to the mods, but every topic I start gets plagued by unwanted and abusive messages from the same few members. This just has to stop.

I have had over 30 e-mails from different members, all of whom say they that they do not contribute to this forum in case they get the same sort of backlash that I encounter.

I am the first to admit that I use this forum to advertise and get my message across. However I do contribute to other discussions and I no longer put my “sales” posts in the general forum. I stick to the correct forums now and still people shoot me down, I just can’t win.

I want to know what the moderators intend on doing about this?

I usually find on forums if you don't rise to the bait people give up M. As the saying goes 'Don't drag yourself down to .....'.

If you are getting business and £s out of your posts then carry on as you are, minus the bickering.

However, a forum is a forum. I'm fairly new here and the blatant self promotion of the in crowd is pretty sickening, BUT that's the same on any forum whatever the subject.

Take it easy and don't get stressed.

Matt,

Personally, I value all feedback I receive at the forums, whether positive or negative. I see criticism of my ideas or my views as part of the sifting process. If I can't defend them, maybe I'm mistaken and pursuing a wrong path.

Also, I took a bit of a ribbing early on because I'm a Brit living in the US. I tried to take it with good humour and to move on. This is a UK forum, after all, and I'm very grateful to everyone for letting me participate when I don't actually live there.

You post a lot of good ideas and are generous in the amount of advice you pass along - thank you. Sometimes I agree with what you say, and sometimes I disagree. I assume that you don't mind when I disagree any more than I don't mind when others disagree with me. It's all part of sharing and learning and challenging and growing.

From my side, I never intend criticism to be personal. I challenge ideas, maybe too bluntly sometimes, but I never mean to pull down the individual. If any of my messages have contributed to your feeling of disillusionment, I apologise.

If ever I cross the line, or if ever I demonstrate a sour attitude, I'd be happy to accept a chiding from the mods.
