Outlook for work.
Thunderbird for business.
Thunderbird's ok, but the search is appalling.
Funny you should say that, I've just started looking for an alternative to Thunderbird for this very reason... slightly depressing to see it's the most popular answer on this thread therefore
What is wrong with it? It works for me, but I suspect that is because I rely primarilly on messgae filters to keep things organised and then use the quick search bar within that.
There are some search extensions that may or may not provide what you want.
It just doesn't find some emails.
For example, I was looking at my inbox yesterday and wanted to find all the emails from "Modaser". I could see some emails were there at least, and yet the search function insisted that no one called Modaser had ever emailed me, and that no emails contained the name!
Could you expand on that? I'm curious.
I don't have any trouble with search in Thunderbird, *but* I do have server-side indexing and searching enabled on my mail server.
Outlook Office 365 desktop app with valuable and easy to use mail merge functionality bonus, with Gmail as backup.
I use the Outlook 365 web app while booted into Linux and the Outlook 365 desktop app when running my Windows virtual machine for the rest of the Microsoft 365 office suite. I also use Outlook on my Android phone.
+1 for Thunderbird.
