What do you look for as a business start up?

This is a plea to all of you who are just started, not yet started or who can remember when they did start

Can you help me with some research please?

:?: I would like to know what you needed to know about / what information you looked for - anything that was / is relevant to you.

I know there are regular posts asking for things here but I'd like to get a few in one place if possible.
