Have you tried submitting to search engines or directories? There are probably loads of web directories out there for financial services, do a quick google! The more you submit the better you will rank (in the long term). In my experience this is a long haul process. You will find that the majority of the search engines and directories are free.

You could also try a Press Release in trade journals etc let people know you are there!

As for your website, how about a section with some testimonials from previous customers or a list of clients you have worked for.

Why not list basic prices on your site (I know your services are made to measure but you could offer a basic package)

Anyway hope that helps!!!

Well, google knows you exist but has only indexed two of your pages:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site:www.businessmanagementsolutionsuk.co.uk

The site looks good. But it's very poor from an SEO perspective.

The problem is that all the URLs on your site have querystrings (ie, they are all index.php followed by a '?' and then some arguments. Luckily you are on a linux server and it's much easier to DIY on linux than windows with this specific issue. Have a search for and read up on mod rewrite and rewriting urls.

Make the title tags for each of your pages relevant to the content.

Once you have done all of the above, create a sitemap page and link to it from the bottom of every page.

All of this together will do wonders for your search engine traffic.

OK apart from the query strings that have already been mentioned, here's a few tips:

    Title Bar
At the minute you have your web address in there which is OK as it has the business keyword present but its also a wasted opportunity as SEs place quite a high emphasis on the words and phrases in this area.

    H1, H2 and H3 tags
Couldn't find any ;) Use these as headings for sections as again they carry importance.

    ALT and TITLE tags
ALT tags as descriptions for your images and TITLE tags for your links. Not only does it improve accessibility but it's also another god chance to get down and dirty with the SEs

    Site Map and robots.txt file
Adding the site map will help Google and other crawlers quickly find all the relevant pages and the robots.txt file will help you control what they can and cannot see...

    Hope this helps ;)

Sounds like you will either need to learn some basic html (not as difficult as it sounds, honest!) :)

    try:
    http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_intro.asp

    or:
    http://webdesign.about.com/cs/beginninghtml/a/aa033103a_p.htm

Or, speak to the person who designed your site - alternatively find someone who knows a bit about SEO (search engine optimisation) and get them to optimize the site for you?

edit: I see your site was designed with the easily web site builder? - http://easily.co.uk/web_site_builder.html if you go to your site and click on View at the top of your browser and choose Page Source you will see the html code for your site and the title tag at the top - basically you need to change the text in there to include your main keywords. I also noticed that the easily web builder had automatically included some hidden text (at the very bottom of your page source code) - (naughty easily!) the search engines won't like that at all - so you probably want to delete it.

(The bit that says VISIBILITY: hidden"> <A HREF="http://easily.co.uk/web_site_builder.html">Design by easily.co.uk - Build a web site with our online web site builder. Choose from one of our many professional internet templates. Webstarter Package comes with free hosting and a free internet domain name.)

Anybody with a basic knowledge of html will be able to make these changes for you (and the other ones suggested above), save the file and then upload (ftp) the new pages.

    Hope this makes sense!
