Want to upgrade/buy a new PC

Hi all

I want to buy/upgrade a new PC.

I am a sole trader, currently running an online shop. The computer itself during the day and the evening is used for business 5-7days a week. It is also however used for non business activities.

How do you go about putting the PC through your business?

Any information is much appreciated, and a thanks will be given

Unfortunately Im not a designer, and wouldnt justify the need for a mac.
Used to own a macbook a cracking piece of kit, but not for me now.

Thanks though.

Hi puffin

I would think you simply claim for a proportion of the cost (you've said you will use it for non-business use) to offset against your profits. This is really a question for an accountant as to the best way to handle it. If you had a ltd co the answer would be simple!

You could try reposting on the forum for accountancy type questions.

Hi steve,

Thanks for that.

That probably sounds about right, I will leave the thread until this evening, then open it in the other section.

Kind Regards
