VAT payment

    Hello everybody, I have a question with VAT. I will give consultancy service and I will be paid from Turkey just for my service. I would like to know that will I be paid VAT?

    Are you VAT registered? If not then you don't collect it anyway.

    I have heard that company in Turkey will pay VAT as 18% for me to Turkish government but not sure.

    If you’re providing some kind of professional consultancy service then the supply will be outside the scope of UK VAT. Normally when you supply to another EU based client they will account for the VAT at their end under the reverse charge system. Turkey may have something similar to this but it’s not your concern. You don’t need to account for UK VAT on the supply.
