If I’m selling a physical product outside the UK to a private customer do I charge the VAT ?

    Also

If I’m selling a physical product outside the UK to a business do I charge the VAT ?

Does it not matter if it’s a private individual or a business when selling outside the EU.

Does this sale have to be recorded also on what sheet.

If the customer is within the EU then charge VAT

If you are selling to an EU business then ask for their VAT number and zero rate the sale. Outwith the EU zero rate the sale.

All sales outwith the EU are zero rated.

You need an EORI number to move goods between the UK and non-EU countries.
