    Hi,
Our business is based in the UK. We are being asked to despatch goods to Dublin but invoice a Derbyshire address. Simple question - do I add VAT?
    Thanks!

You would need an Irish VAT number from your customer.

Vat should be charged within the eu unless they have given you an Irish vat ID in which case the invoice should be zero rated for vat. Doesn’t matter who or where payment comes from, the destination of the goods is what determines the vat.
