Unemployed 2.5 million but its 30% really

So Young Dave is going to get loads and loads of people back to work at jobs that don't exist.:|

True unemployment is apparently 30% ,What are these layabouts doing when there country needs them.?:eek:

"The working age employment rate is 70.7% - up by 0.4% on the last quarter and 0.1% on last year."

Don't you commies just hate it when common sense principles are applied to society

Seriously. Society is the country. And it will take at least a generation for Govts. to influence the future batches of net takers.
Generally speaking, the less Govt. are involved the better, but the starting point here is that they are currently way too involved in trying to manipulating society and giving cash out for fun, ( I can hear the BOE printing presses rolling again as I type ) why wouldn't they , there's votes to be gained.

It should be refreshing to see that, at last, the issues are being addressed, albeit at the point of an IMF gun.

You have to start with making it more beneficial to work than not to work.

How easy is that ?

Rather than business needing mass immigration to do jobs, the unemployed in Britain should want to be employed.

What's wrong with that principle ?

You can't fix everything overnight, it will take years to get out of this mess, but at least the direction is correct.

indeed - unemployed is only those who have no job who would otherwise - i.e. looking for one / would need one if benefit didn't support them...

the 30% includes the idle rich / those such as full time mothers etc. who don't technically 'work' and prob. includes the early-retired as well... might it also include the long term sick as well?
