Time to make your business sound bigger!

S

Spencer Cork

I run a successful voice over business in the UK and I am being asked more and more to supply quality voicemail messages for businesses.

The benefit of this is that often the telephone is the first point of contact with you and your business. It's vitally important to make a good impression at the earliet opportunity.

And what if you're out and miss that call and your potential customer is greated with a hastily recorded answerphone message with backgriound noise - cars, traffic, childrens etc all spoiling that special moment between you and your client!

For a very small investment, you can make your business however small sound like one of your corporate compeitors.

And of course, not everyone has a good telephone voice. So you may want to use another voice as the voice of your company for those important out of hours and weekend calls.

Be great to hear from you.

Spencer :)

Yes I'll send you a sample - John in this post is pleased with what I've just done for his business. It depends on what you want and how you want it said. Of course it can be cheesy but not if it's done properly.

I have sent you a PM and will send you a demo if you would like one.

Spencer :)

I'm the guy that pointed the OP to this forum after using his services today. The OP provided me with a very quick, very professional and very cheap service. (helpful too). Voice overs were talked about on a thread the other day with someone pointing the way to a voice artist asking twice the the price for the same service so I thought it would be a win win situation for the OP and any one wanting the above service if he let himself be know on here. Not trying to have a go at you (I'm no forum warrior lol) but I don't know why some people are obsessed with trying to make their business sound bigger and more corporate.

Surely personalised is better? Smaller businesses often give a better level of service.

If I call a business and I get a professional voice and answer machine, I hang up - period. Most people can tell if a business is trying to sound bigger than they are..

I would rather call the guy up the road who actually picks up the phone and talks to you!

Yeah Spencer - watch out for the forum warriors on UKBF. Any opportunity to tear into someone and they jump on it.

However it is all bluff and bravado and once you get used to it you will find it quite funny.

That's right, all we are here for is so you and your mates can spam us.

This a forum, for help, advice and debate about business issues, not a place for people to pimp their wares.

I have to agree withthe above. Personally I don't think it has anything to do with being a "warrior". It's more to do with using the forum as a vehicle for helping each other and exchanging business information. That's what it's for, it's NOT an advertising forum.

Every member of this forum who runs a business could start a thread telling people that it would be a good idea to do business with them. How much value would that add?
