I devoted my time (7 years in research) to develop a business case for investors to invest substantial sums in to launching my business...a long the way it cost me my marriage and missing out on devoting my time to my children...this leads me to ask what was the hardest decision you had to make within your business life and why?

To quit my well paid job and run my own business - for the second time!

Time will tell if it was a good move or not.

To shut a firm while it was still making money. the writing was on the wall and I wanted to take my money and run as we would have lost it all had we staid on. A huge rival had stepped in and undercut the market (£50 instead of £200) we couldn't compete.

I have now shut half a dozen firms but if you have to you have to. It still hurts.
