Hello guys,

Tonight I reclaimed a stolen laptop (this laptop was stolen by an ex employer) and I have now found that it is missing my pmcia wireless network card (not a biggie, I can get on eon ebay for a tenner) and the power supply adaptor, I will NEVER get these back!!!

My question is, can I use any old 19V power adaptor (the original is 19V) or does it have to be the specific one for my Laptop? (HP Omnibook XE3)

Thanks

Matt

19v should be fine, thats standard, if your spare one has a lower power rating than the original, then it will take longer to charge, if its MUCH lower then might struggle to power the laptop but not likely. Polarity is usually centre pos - I'v enever seen otherwise with the exception of dell who have that stupid little square plug that always breaks.
