I was involved with a business renting out computer gear when we got involved with another firm and rented out of their offices.
Our business began to fail and they offered to buy us out.
We eventually agreed to a set of terms and signed a provisional agreement awaiting the final one. We then discovered they were attempting to blackmail us and pulled out of the agreement.
They however still have the equipment and refuse to give it back.
We have little money to take them to court and I would like to know what our options are?
A friend of mine suggested he hire out the gear under his name and then we keep it again. Could they get us for theft even though we have all the receipts, etc and it's legally ours?
Help please.
