Stock Keeping / Inventory Sofware

I am hoping that somone may be able to help and point me in the right direction.
I am a sole trader that has only been set up and trading for 3 months. I am currently looking for a good stock keeping / Inventory software package.
Something that will grow with us. I don't want to change to a new system as soon as i've got used to one.
Preferably a package that works on the K.I.S.S. principle. Although inventory is one of the most important aspects of control, i need something that is simple to operate, update and utilise.
Any help would be very welcome.

Hi Dave,

I have two recommendations.

We use (and I can recommend) 'Quickbooks' as a total packaged solution which has good support. You can find more information about it here:

Alternatively I can also recommend an open source solution 'Turbocash'. This has a fantastic write up and more information can be found here:

Both programs do of course need an initial set up which may appear daunting or perhaps overwhelming at first although after a few weeks the bit of effort really does pay off and they could be running like clockwork.

The above packages would help deal with all your accounting and inventory management needs.
