Statutory Sick Pay

I'm hoping someone can help me with my SSP query. I have a team member that works 3 days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

If she was off Monday, Wednesday and Saturday then would SSP kick in during this period? From the HMRC site SSP appears to include non-working days so if their sickness commenced on the Monday, then Tuesday (their day off) would be included too. This means that SSP would kick in on Saturday??

If someone can help i'd be most grateful

From the first day of sickness absence there is no entitlement to SSP for the first 3 days. So someone who works Monday to Friday and falls ill on Friday would be entitled to SSP from the Monday. Your employee is entitled to 1/3rd of a week's SSP if she was off on Saturday, provided she earns enough to qualify.
