There's nothing left in this thread now but arguments and bickering, so like Duncan Bannatyne but without the money or the perma tan, "I'm out"

So APW, you've shifted £13,950 of stock (cost value not even retail, what is it's retail value?) In a week and don't consider it a success. I'd say you covered your start up costs with the first three sales, well done.

That's also a hell of a lot of samples your suppliers provided, pretty much unheard of in my experience.

Ah see you I forgot you havent a clue again.

So those figures where the costs to make the prototypes not the actual cost to make which is considerably cheaper now (as is all manufacturing one the plates and designs have been created - but im sure you knew that).

Ok. Thought you were designing a product though not a manufacturing process. Again you've skimped on the details as to what you are doing,

That's easily done, just prove me wrong with a link and I'll be to embarrassed to ever post on this forum again.

No, your one of the reasons I have given up on posting on the open forum, your one of the reasons this forum is going downhill and as a result you will remain in the dark about my product.

Eventually people here will block your type out of this forum.

I'll tell you why the forum is going down hill, its because when a genuine thread is started with real facts, figures and details it's deleted and what's left are threads like this and pish-pash's that are all talk and no substance.

    Shame really.

Maybe @APW doesn't want to reveal his product for fear of copycatting. It's a fair reason and I have seen this happen a few times on another forum I am a member of.

@APW why not just prove the haters wrong with a screenshot of your sales? You don't have to reveal the product that way.

I think it is really up to the product you sell and if it fits to a local distribution, why not?? do not see the reason. Of course, nationwide or globally you can have more potential customers, but that can be a second phase of your launch, isn't it?
starting locally is a good idea, this is how we launched as well - btw we didn't have that much capital either (we bought a strong PC, two monitors, couple of courses and tech stuff), we mostly had opportunity costs while we were learning the business. That is a working model as well, you don't have to have money for everything, you can choose the smart way too :)
