I have an employee that I set on a 40hr p/w contract, two months in, they had a bad stroke and went on SSP for 6 months (£96.35p/w). They aren't ever going to be able to return to work. When I end their employment, how many holidays do I have to pay please?

Probably should have terminated immediately in hindsight as struggling to afford to pay for all the above and a replacement but felt bad.

They are entitled to holidays @ 5.6 weeks per year from their start date to their termination date.

So if exactly 8mths = 2/3 of 28 days = 9 1/3 days where each day is 8 hours = 74 hrs 40 mins of pay less any holiday already paid

If you are serving them notice remember it keeps accruing during notice period

I have a question, in this case, is it totally okay to terminate their employment because of the disability? What's their rights?
