Hi,
I am hoping someone may be able to advise. I have issues with my current business bank LloydsTSB. In short they over charged me by £45,000 over 18 month period through mortgage payments for a development mortgage. LloydsTSB refunded the £45,000 but are refusing to refund the overdraft charges incurred directly through their actions, provide evidence of their calculations (I feel it is reasonable after our experience to request this after such a huge error on their part). Or provide compensation for the distress caused.
I am hoping to find a solicitor who would look into this on a no win no fee basis as I cannot afford to send precious cashflow on this matter. My accountant feels strongly I should persue a claim as he says the way we have been treated is shocking and fails to see how we could not win our claim.
I have been advised against approaching the Banking Ombudsman as they are apparently understaffed and are not particularly successful.
