So refitting the bathroom at home and we have 3 mixer taps, quite large, obviously brass, to go.

Any ideas if they are worth taking to the scrap merchant???

If they will pay for a curry, I'll 'ave it!!!

    ;)

Curry and a Naan bread - I would have said.

Seriously I had someone go through a 'large' skip I filled up last year.
They took out 2 pieces of old copper piping and 1 brass tap!

Not sure if they retired on the 'booty' - but they went to a lot of effort to retrieve them from the skip - and then put ALL the rubbish back again.

I even think the same as him. Seeing as you have been nasty I'm going to propose a tax on broadband. It will start @ £0.50 per month and then as soon as you weaklings have been suckered in I'm going to raise to about a tenner a week. That will get rid of an anti governmental propaganda and allow us to do what we do best...

    Oi who said **** all?

I'll hunt you down and make sure your kids have a disgusting time whilst in education and then I'll milk them dry through totally unnecessary taxes, whilst I sun myself in paradise...you've been warned, don't ever be nasty to me again.

    Right who said government wastage?

You nasty spiteful little ****s, we'll hunt you all down...now go and buy my latest block buster...

Well really, is it any wonder that President Obama does not wish to meet with you (5 times you have tried)!:|

Run that past me again - your latest block buster - would that be 'Alien'?
Or 'Home Alone' - I wonder why?
Maybe 'Sleepless in number 10'! - Cannot think why - the Country is going well - Sarah is happy - so that one has me stumped!

Sorry Gordon - but sometimes the 'truth hurts'!

You could always change your image:D

Estwig, what hubby used to do was have a bucket in the garage, bring home from each of the jobs any scrap and then when the bucket was full take it to the scrappys (or take it to the tip with a load of the stuff they pay for and use the scrap as part exchange). It's one of those thing that individually it's not worth a lot (unless the scrap market has gone all mad again) but if you tot up what you bung away each year you definitely could find a use for that money.

You could do a Press Release on how you have saved the world by recycling, and for good measure Tweet about it.

Second thoughts: No don't do that. All those travellers with free govt laptops will be round your house looking for the scrap ...

Onto the scrap, I had a washing machine in my backyard, and an old radiator waiting to go to the tip. Last Friday I returned home to find it had been stolen!! Someone had climbed over the back fence had it away with my junk and then pushed the gate closed. Thoughtful burglars???? They disn't take the bikes and things, just the junk.:)

Saved me a trip to the skip, but now I'm thinking I should have sold it!

    Worthless,as is OB.

The travellers have had em away most likely.

They like to think of themselves as " Eco Warriors ",cleaning up all the rubbish in the world.

When they have a lorry full, they weigh it in for the cash.
