I want to sell stainless steel carpet cleaning products to the USA
I was wondering how to go about it, apart from actually going over there, which I would not mind doing, but it to costly at the moment
Any suggestions??
Thanks

IMO, the best approach would be to find a partner. Your biggest issue in the short term, though, is likely to be getting approval for your product (all the many safety regulations). Again, a partner company would know how to do this.

I don't know whether carpet manufacturing and carpet cleaning are related, but Dalton, Georgia is pretty much the carpet capital of the US. Several big companies (e.g., Mohawk, Shaw) are based there.

All products meet us safety standards
as they tested.

I wanted to go direct as the margines are quite tight
due to the shipping cost, some of which I shall have to swallow, to compete.
At some point I will need a distribution point.

Wondering if direct mail is a good idea, or making appointments to see them personally. Although I could employe a sales agent.

I've some experience of this - I had to go (still going) through the UL process...totally nightmare, might not apply to your product, but i'd be careful. US is a tough market and getting the correct certification, if required, is essential.

Get a partner or a "manufacturers Rep" as they call them. Aim for one that already sells to your target market...might give you a "stepping stone".

Firstly, you should make sure the price is low enough in the same business
Secondly, you should have a shop on site, and then make sure the picture on the website is enough to attract others
Thirdly, Pay more attention to the hot-selling in our lives

well my advice to you is.... you should try to find a partner in u.s.a and is willing to help you out also a person whom you can trust. You can also put up a website and let the website speak for you..i mean about your business. put pictures and talk about each product and make sure you write in a way people would love to give it a trial. any more tips contact me.

You open shop store for this or you can try to promte to some shop store with sample and your catalogue, or visit some fair to show your production. If distribution, you must promte production to distribution directly, sometime it's difficult and also like traddittional sales.
