Retailers How do you market your Business

Hi All,

I really just wanted to see how all the retailers on here are marketing their business. Our usual customer base is busines to business clients, however we have had a number of Retailers asking for promo flyers, posters, branded price tags and so on.

Along with the usual web site production and advert design, overall retailers seem to be spending more money on promotion and I wondered if this was a overall trend??

We have a website, ebay store, put out leaflets and have a sign on a main road. We are in several toursit brochures and online guides. We did used to go out to shows but it was a bit tiring and have the odd newspaper ad.

We're getting more and more interest for retailers getting involved in Social Media

I would say the first thing to do is set up a Facebook page, and learn how to use it properly ie only put interesting and relevant content on it with decent images.

Twitter is also useful as long as you don't tweet loads of rubbish.

Both are free, and and if used well can really create loyalty among customers and spread awareness of your business.
