    Hi,

I’m looking for some advice with an individual who I am currently in litigation with for my designs.

The main question I have is the business he runs was dissolved last year under ‘final gazette dissolved via conpulsary strike off’. He has then re registered the same business under the exact same name but with a different filing number 2 months later. The business is the same, the directors are the same and for all intense purposes the only difference is the filing number. This to me seems suspicious. He is a man with a criminal record which I know isn’t relevant but builds a picture as a person who wouldn’t be opposed to tax evasion or fraud.

My question is, is this legal firstly.

And secondly where do I stand on owing money to a company that has been dissolved and re registered?

    Thank you

If the company has been dissolved it is dead and any debts owed by or to it died too.
