An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PPC Manager within the Marketing team of a leading client based near Chester. The PPC Managers role is to drive the PPC strategy and overall efficiency for one of their core business verticals. Success in PPC is crucial to the overall performance of the business, and as a result this role carries a great deal of responsibility.
You will be expected to research, develop and implement leading-edge PPC strategies across multiple product areas. Daily communication with all levels of management in the business will be essential to ensure the best service is delivered and to maintain the profile of the team.
As a true expert in the PPC field, you will be incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about search, constantly seeking out new opportunities and the latest techniques. You will also be acutely analytical with a sound understanding of mathematic principles and an investigative nature. You will jointly manage the relationship with third party technology partners and will also be responsible for the professional development of individuals within the PPC and wider search team.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The principal responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):
Research, create, deliver and manage a leading-edge PPC strategy for the business that complies with best practice standards and will drive significant, sustainable and profitable traffic.
Act as a PPC champion, engaging with all facets of the business to deliver PPC insight.
Engage closely with the in-house analytics and MI teams to understand the true value of PPC traffic and exploit its long-term potential, as well as conducting your own quantitative and qualitative analysis. Use advanced Excel skills to help translate data into recommendations and plans for driving incremental traffic, revenue and profit.
Drive a perpetual PPC test and learn cycle, with input from comprehensive direct and indirect competitor analyses.
Jointly manage and actively seek to improve the relationship with third party technology vendors.
Inspire, motivate and support PPC Executives to deliver your plans and the goals of the business.
Raise the profile of the PPC team within the business through education and understanding.
Work confidently and autonomously to seek out areas of opportunity and improvement.
Work towards volume and profitability targets.
Demonstrate an active interest in advancing the success of the business.
Line manage vertical PPC Executives
KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge required for this role include:
Exceptional knowledge of PPC techniques
A solid, fluent understanding of PPC best practice across Google, Yahoo and Bing.
Google AdWords Professional (GAP) qualified.
Proven leadership skills.
An understanding of SEO techniques.
Familiarity with web technologies and popular tracking/analytics packages.
A detailed understanding of the products and services supplied through the group.
Significant commercial experience on large-scale, multi-market/product campaigns.
Solid evidence of successful campaigns where tough targets have been achieved in competitive markets.
An understanding of how successful SEO campaigns can benefit PPC/total search campaigns.
