I need to send a parcel to ni from uk mainland its approx 60cm by 60cm by 30cm and weighs 7kg

 

Not sure but NI is UK post code so probably a tenner.

A lot of the parcel carriers class NI as UK offshore, and so, bizarrely, it can be more expensive than Zone 1 Europe. Try a few out. Post Office may be the best bet because legally they have to ship to NI as the same rates as UK mainland.

I can see Ireland from my office windows - but it costs me more to send stuff there than it does to the south of France - there's logic for you - not!!

It's the old problem; not a lot in, not a lot out, not on the way anywhere = high delivery costs.

I use a courier company called APC overnight. They do a discount for NI via 5 day road service. If you do not want it to arrive with particular urgency, they may be competitive enough - you can also track the order and get a POD.
