Hi everyone,
I'm very interested in this idea but I am wondering if Let's Pizza concept ( there is an Italian company who invent it and provide the whole technology ) will work in England. I couldn't find too much information about it...On youtube is a short clip about a pizza vending machine in London but that's all. Also two articles which I found on web...I am curious what do you think. This could be a business? It can be interesting for the British market ? Could be possible to place a vending machine in a shopping centre ? Any ideas, opinions, comments, regarding will help. Thanks

I've just had a quick google on the subject. There is a Youtube video from 2012 and a Daily Mail article from 2014. The top site on Google is this.

http://www.uniquepizza.co.uk/

If you are the owner of this website, one of the following things may be occurring:

  • You have not put any content on your website.
  • Your provider has suspended this page.

All of which suggests to me that it has been tried and hasn't worked. It might work though if you can figure out why it failed before.

    Fresh, presumably, not cooked?
France has vending machines for their baguettes and a few weeks ago we did see some for eggs and potatoes. Not quite the same food, I know and they tended to be in smaller villages and towns.

I am the only one who thinking that - in a way or in other - this is the future? Vending machines, new technologies, with fresh food and soft drinks, and snacks everywhere -: ) However, Yellow, please, can you let me know your opinion? I mean why do you reckon that I'll not work very well in the UK ? As far as i know British people loves pizza ...First, i found the idea very exciting. Fresh pizza, new technology, you are able to see the entire process, not so expensive etc. ...but now I am starting to have doubts...Thank you all for your comments

in my very own opinion, I am not sure if this kind of business is stable or can meet the demands of the new generation. I admit I am impressed with the idea of pizza vending machine and its new to me, but if I put my shoe in one of the customers in your future business, I will just actually try but not really sure if will come back for more. Ideally speaking, I love pizza but I prefer to buy in a fancy and already established pizza maker/ counter. I want to try new but not really something like this because I don't want to jeopardize the taste and freshness of the ingredients of the pizza that I'm gonna buy.

I was promoting Let's Pizza business in UK, unfortunately right in the middle of the product's launch the Italian company closed down. Anyone interested in alternative machines can view I will be more than happy to answer to all questions.

Very interesting concept, hadn't heard of it before. If the operations closed down, is it possible for you to find out who ran it and try get some details as to why it failed? If you are able to learn from their mistakes, maybe you'll have a shot at this.

That being said, when I get pizza I am mostly ordering it in from the comfort of home. Maybe I would try it as an 'on the way back home' type deal but unless it was really good, I'd probably keep ordering in personally.

I like the idea of it as an end user. Expect it'd be at least as good as supermarket pizza, most of which is likely already manufactured using a similar kind of process as the machine.

Somewhere like an airport or train station where high rent normally drives up running costs I see could potentially work well if can provide hot food to people around the clock during odd times when they want quick easy access to something. There's also obviously a relatively small footprint and it's cheaper to run since less hours needed to run.
