Picking it up again -

I am picking up again my effort to create a working Website which will be used to promote my Service of being a Travel Advisor. Its been a while as I had some things going on in life which put me back, but dont we all.

Current design not completed available here - www.troublefreetraveladvisor.com/try4.html
I have issues between IE and Firefox which Im working to resolve and use php for Menu's etc. and Yeah I know all the Pages dont display correctly, I wanted to get the opening home page consistent first and then use it as a block to build from and gradually then the content. Im trying to be more aware of Css, the majority of my Page, when i delete the css info to see how much of an hold it has, doesnt change the page much and so isnt devoted to css. Im trying to learn & create at the same time and im bound to be get the told that I should have everythin in the css file, then its easier to edit the display etc, easy know when u know how and what it means : - )

(and yes i know the text on the homepage is terrible)

Anyway that aside.

Previously I called Links/Urls/Pages etc something which i could identify. I was thinking, for Search Engines and SEO obviously I need to name these properley dont I to allow them to be picked up etc

Can anyone offer me some advice on what I should do and any other things to do with designing & setting up the website which would make the marketing of the website better. Or any other obvious things from a first glance

Hope you guys can help. Looking for encouragement too

Thanks

Lee

(hope its ok to post this here)

a few suggestions:

- logo would look more professional if was on the left handside corner of the page.
- the links at the top look like a sentence. you need to add either dividers or space between them
- i would recommend adding a thin border around the content area, to make it look more organised.
- make the titles of the pages left aligned (more professional)

Good luck:)
thanks

where do u mean a thin border around content area? i thought i already had that or do u mean a border around some of the text in the centre part of the page.

Am not sure about moving my Logo to hte Left of the Page. i looked at that and just didnt like all the Space to the Right. it looked like id forgotten to center align the Logo lol.

Yeah the links at the top look like a sentence i only added that when i was playin around. by no means was this the finished article.just uploaded to get feedback durin building
