pci multimedia audio device

Having spent the last hour without success, can anyone here point me in the right direction?

I have just reinstalled a computer with win 98 and the sound is not working, says it cannot find drivers for pci multimedia audio device.

Usually I surf off and find these things, but I am not having any luck with this!

ok we need to know what soundcard is in the pc then you can be pointed in the way of some drivers.
If you dont know this, you will need to open the pc and have a look, it may be a seperate card, or maybe onboard, if onboard you will need to post the motherboard make/model.
If you get stuck with any of the above, post back and we'll go from there

The motherboard is a S57M system board.

The sound card was a trident 4dwave, which I thought I had found drivers for, but couldnt, so now I have taken it out of the computer.

Is this enough information?

Here you go mate http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/power_sc.html
The soundcard is aparantly a SIS 7018. I downloaded the XP drivers from the above link and they are indeed 7018 drviers so its looking good. Beware when you run the downloaded exe file, its one of those that unpacks without warning, it creates a folder called WINXP in the same directory - I assume other drivers do the same.
If you have no luck post back

EDIT:

I should imagine I can easily find you some trident drivers, what version of windows are you running?
