Hi everyone. It is the first time when I have to do tax coursework and I am not sure for few things. I will be really happy if u spent few minutes to check something, I believe you are more sure than me. sorry for so big picture.

this is the payslip which I have and I need to verify and explain the tac paid for the current pay period and the tax pait to date.

the computation of National Insurance Contributions for this period

I need to calculate the tax refund to which the employee concerned would be entitled if they had stopped working at the end of the month covered by the payslip and did not receive any more taxable income until the end of the year.

I calculated basic salary shich is 10: 810x10=8100. AND Multiply salary by 12: 1776.09 x 12 = 21,313.08. then 21,313.08-8100=13,213.08 [this gives the amount of income over the basic allowance - which will be subject to tax, am I right?]

I am not sure - Is the result 13,213.08 within the basic rate band? what is the difference? how can i know that ?

I have no idea how to work out the NI deductions as well.

    thank u for your help
