My daughter is having a problem using 2.3.0.2. It has only started in the last couple of days using Paypal Standard.
She sells personalised paper cuts and each product has various options. When you go through to Paypal it is showing anything from "There seems to be a problem - return to merchant" to showing an empty description and a postage rate of £2.95 (which she doesn't have).
It is very random, certain products are showing the problems but only sometimes - really weird!
Is anyone aware of any current problems at Paypal?
The site is https://www.handmade-by-h.co.uk if anyone has time to do a quick test as far as Paypal.
    Thanks.

Ok then probably a coding issue, you need a developer to debug.

Yes, good one. Likely culprits as it is variable in the error is - but likley you will still need someone with OpenCart dev skills to sort it ... (not me )
    • Passing more than 127 characters in the item number field. For example, don't use the item_number field for "Note to Buyer" information.

    • Passing more than 64 characters in the option fields (on0, on1, etc.).

    Probably not related but...

Paypal changed the location to there IPN server on the 30th June, i had to patch about 25 magento websites a few weeks ago :-(

If you get this issue again it may be worth checking if the opencart code has been updated or patched.. i've never used opencart so don't know how it is patched or maintained unfortunately.

Changed to what? We've not had any issues verifying IPN's through June/July.

It's pretty rare for them to make breaking changes to the IPN service, I think we've been using "http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" with "cmd=_notify-validate" for almost 13 years on one website!

If you purchased the item from one of our merchants, follow these simple steps:

    1. Log in to your PayPal account.
    2. Open a dispute in the Resolution Center within 180 calendar days of your purchase.
    3. Click “Dispute a Transaction.”
    4. Select item dispute.
Be aware that disputes must be opened within 180 days of your payment date, and that you and the seller will have 20 days to work things out.
