Opinions of Smart Traffic/Free SEO Company?

Has anyone had experience (positive or negative) of Smart Traffic or Free SEO Company?

I know of smart traffic, and basically what they will do as part of their free seo company bit is too use your site to build links for their paying clients, in exchange they will build you a number of links per month.

The question you have to ask yourself is do you want them to be putting any sort of links onto your site, these links can include adult links etc

As far as their paid seo services are concerned, they seem to get some good results, but they are expensive ie min monthly fee's around £200 for about 10 links, anyway that's what it cost last time I spoke to them.

The best thing to do is ask to see other sites they have worked on, and have a look at how they rank.

They get results, I'm not supportive of their techniques (cuckoo pages), but they get results.

But they're not permanent. So, would question the value.
Great as long as you keep paying - so maybe just pay for PPC instead.

Thanks for the comments. I was cold called by Smart Traffic and after I told the guy I had no budget for SEO he mentioned their sister company Free SEO Company. I was interested in opinions - I love the 'They are pants. Big horrible smelly ones' comment

The example they gave me was to search for "book entertainment" on Google - Exclusive Lifestyle is one of the sites they have as a Free SEO client. Not convinced it is a term I would search for - but it is no. 1 on Google...

THere is absolutely no value on being no1 on google unless;
(a) Its a term that's relevant to your website
(b) its a term that will generate you income/customers/leads/business
(c) Its a term that people search on.

If it's not all three of the above, then i'm afraid being no1 on that particular term is simply vanity. Nice, but not worth paying for.

From my (non professional) understanding of SEO - I agree completely!

The best way to get top ranking positions is organic SEO. It always pays off to do things properly and without anyone putting stange links on your website. This types of practices I heard could get people penilised and they in the end do not bring any benefits in traffic or quality...just something like a link farming... Stick to organic SEO and build your website's reputation over time. It will pay off at the end.

I have outsourced a number of projects to them previously, they build poor links, many of which are within link farms which can harm your site long term. Most often they get results though, it's just a case of how long they will last for.

This is terrible why would you offer a link building service that doesnt apply to permanent links, I do not agree with this and I am 100% sure that is day light robbery.

I was just about to post regarding this subject.

Smart traffic have been providing their free service to me now for nearly one year.

I do not see how it benefits me at all, they have written articles on hidden pages on my site which have bugger all to do with my line of business. Then they bung links on to these other sites.

As far as I can tell the people who go for their free service (like me) become the sites for them to build back links for their paying customers.

I e-mailed them today to remove it all, if they don't I will instruct my web guy to do it.

There was a thread on here up until about 6 months ago that was a pretty damning summary of their service to us a few years ago.

It has since been removed by someone with a yellow belly, it obviously got in the way of all the "Glowing" reviews on page 1 of Google for smart Traffic.

Open forum?...Yeah I bet..

Basically, you use them at your peril, if you have a slight incline as to how SEO works, you will steer clear anyway.

And should you wish to fritter your money away to seedy men in Thailand, then they might be for you..
