    Hello,

I am hoping someone can give me some good advise.

Is there any informaion available that will give me some stats on retail/shopper demographics? Information such as what type of shops do well in certain areas and whether there is a saturation of certain types of shops in certain areas, what kind of income retail shops make, how many there are of certain categories in different areas (ie how many clothing shops in the Stockbridge area or kitchen stores in Morningside) .....

I am looking to open a specialty retail shop and i am basically looking for the ultimate location. I'm also keen to know if Edinburgh already has too many shops of the type I want to open.

I'm sure studies have been done on this I just don't know where to find the info and would appreciate a little help.

    Thanks :)
    Kristina

Business Gateway do free market research for you and that sounds like what you need to do.
