Hi Sarah - welcome to the site

Is it the expert in Averley who changed the site or the original designer?

Do you have access to the site still - through something called ftp ? or the admin area

If you want to pm me the link, we'll be happy to take a look for you.

    Best regards

    Mark

    Hi

It's possible some files have been modified as there are some javascript errors - would have to have a look via ftp though to see what was going on

    Hi

Yes, it's our main E-Commerce system we use for our design clients so we design and develop for it every day.

No, have to be honest, although we've done POS link ups before, that's not an issue we've come across. It is something that would be hard to resolve remotely to be honest.

Does your web hosting provider have backups? If the error was introduced recently, and there are backups, you may be able to fix it by rolling back the files (and leave database unchanged to protect customer/order data).

I'm not sure who the OpenCart developer is, but this seems to be a reminder that you have to be really clear what you're paying for when you get development work done. I mean £120 is a bit low to go to the effort of writing a detailed spec document but you should have it in writing what parts of the site he'll update to work with the 10% discount. A POS system is usually a separate module so it might need further modification to work with customer discounts etc. and all these things are relatively complex and take time to do right.

Hi, did you manage to get this sorted? I am also trying to get a pos system working with out OC store but having issues. We did pay for a mod but it is not working and the developer seems to have vanished and not responding to emails.
