Does anyone have any recommendations for a online answering machine. Basically i want to free up a phone line. So i am looking to have a UK phone number (not premium-rate) that i can record a message and then let the caller leave a message (just like a traditional answering machine:rolleyes:) and then email me a recording of the message or let me login and listen to the message. It will hardly ever be used (3-4 calls per day max) so needs to be cheap www.virtualphone.com appears to be free up-to 100mins (seems to good to be true). Does anyone have any experience using such a system?
    Thanks

I’ve used answer.co.uk. Cost £1 per call, but is real humans, not a machine. People are about 10 times more likely to leave a message with a real person

As Mark said, we use answer.co.uk, we get much better results with a real person but we also use Soho66 for our phone lines and answering machines. For answer messages we hire a very nice sounding lady from fiverr.com. Hope this helps...

pbdesigns - its just used for the odd messages that some people (non customers) want to leave.

looks like they charge a one off phone line fee starting at just £1.

Thanks all, never thought it would be so cheap.
