    Hi,

I can possibly make this - do I need to be a fully paid up member to come along or is everyone welcome?

    Thanks

    Nathan

Thought you were in the North East anyhow?

Heck I would love a North West meet up in say Lancaster ... its quicker and easier than Manchester to get to certainly! But thing is, it has to be somewhere central ish, although there is an argument that those in the Liverpool area (of which there are quite a few) would have an argument for it to be held there!

Manchester or Bolton would be ideal ..... any idea on time and location yet?

Can a Bolton-living, Stockport-working newbie join the fray?
(my repertoire of bad jokes and shaggy dog stories needs an outing soon!)

    I can't do the 14th now :(
    Or the 15th :( :(

    What about Friday 16th anyone?

Junction 28 of the M6 at Leyland. Ideal for the Lancaster folk, straight up the M61 for the Manchester people? Not too far for the Bolton travelling contingent. As you come off the M6 at J28 there is the Leyland Hotel. Decent coffee and over priced butties...failing that there is the Eagle & Child for hearty food and ale and room for a natter?

Or just off the M61 near Chorley there are places to meet up? Either way I can't do 14th or 15 now :(

Leyland-ish not a prob for me...my (far better) other half works in Leyland, so she knows the area.

As for Bolton, the Olive Press in the middle of town is always a reliable spot for decent food. (Plus added bonus of a waiter who looks remarkably like Sideshow Bob!)

Sorry Gillie...being a non drinker, I can honestly say I've never been in a pub in Bolton in the 5 years I've lived here so can't offer any suggestions.

Pity I only found this today!!

That said, like PhillipH I'm in the real North West (Cumbria), so it's a little bit far for an evening meet up. Daytime would be OK though.

Is this a monthly thing please Gillie, and will there be another meeting in February?

I only found this today too, what a shame as I would have liked to meet up.

I am also proper North West (Cumbria) but happy to travel to Manchester - never been to Bolton in my life so would have been doubly exciting.

(who is not tea total, although I do drink a fair bit of tea too)

Is this a regular meet then?
