Well, Norfolk certainly qualifies as "East of England"... :)

    North Norfolk, Cromer.

Trying to organise a EofE get together but never got any time, there's been a lot of interest in a thread i posted to test the water a few months ago.

Hi Dan, Logistics Supervisor in Felixstowe, Suffolk.

I know not exactly Norfolk but close enough & no one (apart from me in a few secs time) has started a Suffolk thread.

    Hi folks

I am not in business yet but I am looking into providing tours of Norfolk with family history in mind.

I am just looking at the idea at the moment. I would welcome any comments.;)

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

You say that to a real Norfolk Dumpling! What a brave person you are! lol

Seriously though, I have been researching my family history since 1977 and I have not found one bit of intermarriage in any of my direct ancestors.

Not much history if you can only go back 31 years.

Good start. I am pretty easy to track. I can trace my father back to 925!
    My mother's line to 1561.
it is quite simple in that we have farmed the same lands for over 800 years and many of my ancestors wrote family histories.

Oh and I am a scot. been in norfolk part time for 10 years.

Forgot to add..I have been dealing in genetics and ancestry and was poised to get going marketing it full time when i took another course. If you are interested there might be a good business in there.

    Hi All,
here is another one to your army of Norfolk businesses... If you're interested in a networking event (I don't run it or sell it) which is just for Directors why not try the Dining Room. One of our clients is Softley Events who set it up over a year ago and it is really well attended. If you would like more info send a reply as I'm new here I can't post url's.

What do you mean about genetics & ancestry? There are a lot of people out there, mainly in the US, doing testing to find genetic connections. As to ancestry, I am also trying to get enough advertising out there to get a steady supply of people interested in buying my research skills. I have a little (self done) website, I hope to expand as soon as I can. Perhaps get a professional website, depends on the cost though. Anyone out there suggest a good website designer who is free?????

Nope (not even sure such a thing exists, You have to speculate to accumulate ;)), but we are good and more importantly Norfolk based web designers :)

Now we're back from holidays I really must get on and organise a meet up, maybe keep it simple and Norfolk only rather than Anglia regional, from small acorns and all that!
