My site is nearly finished

I have all the page content around 10 pages in total just need it all editing to make it search engine friendly keyword in the right places and making sure it all reads properly with the key words in.

I Wana get the site ready for some good serious seo and think this is a good base to start having on page seo correct

The pages are not huge

Any ideas on price

And also what do you get in the seo world for around £200 pm

Thanks guys

Price will be on keyword competition, the more competing pages the more work is required, its hard to say without knowing your target audience, for instance if it were a plumber in your local area it should only take a few hours worth of work, if its loans UK go mortgage your home and hope its enough.

If you can let us know a bit more it would help a lot

Tomp,

Your site sounds new and although we would love to service you I would do some DIY seo before spending your money.

Get your site indexed andthen download a copy of MS ( market samurai )

insert you keywords and do a ranking check.

You never know some of the keywords you want you site to rank for maybe in the serps so no need to pay out for it.

Let google dance a bit before you commit to seo services. It will also help a company quote based on the existing rankings. If you ask for quote now without the site being ranked you may end up paying more.

The key with link building to a new site is it must appear extremely natural. With aged domains, this is desirable but no where near as important.

To appear natural, you must:

- Vary the anchor text of links a lot

- Get a diverse range of link sources: some relevant, some not, some nofollow etc

- Link deep into the site: That is, build links to inner pages, not just your homapage

What can £200 p/m achieve? Depends on the vertical you are targeting. In some sectors that will get you plenty of page 1 rankings, in Mortgages, Insurance, P.I. etc it won't get you to page 5!

What is the vertical?

Hello,

Best of luck for your website and yes it is very important to have accurate on-page before jumping in to off-page seo task. Write your page title intelligently and try to use major keywords in heading.

Hi Tomp1986

If you're in a low competition market £200 should be plenty and SEO can be an after thought. We've got some clients to the top spot on as little as £50 pm.

If you're in a high competition market, then the analysis and SEO plan should really be done before the site build to make it more cost effective. Else you'll have to keep chucking money at it!

In early stages of a new site, it helps to drive traffic with a good PPC campaign on AdWords whilst you are waiting for the SEO to progress.

I won't bore you with any technical stuff, feel free to ask if you need any help though, enjoy your weekend!

Hi

I concur with the previous post regarding keyword research / Market research first. All is not lost though.

Right now I'd look to get some competition figures together relating to the keywords you are planning to target

Market samurai is a good product but exercise caution if it is localised keyword data you are after.

You need to come up with a keyword strategy that is within your means. It may mean you need to slightly replan your logical site layout.

Have a read throughout some posts on here, read some books. Other decent sites include seobook and seomoz. Armedwith a little background research you will be in a better position to instruct an seo specialist.

Good luck

Absolute Rubbish,

I agree here.

If you are competing with large ecommerce sites then yes, it is too small.

But if you are a plumber in Manchester or something localised like that then it is fine.

An SEO company should not really take your business as of yet as the site is brand new and has no history with Google which means the chance of getting results in time for you to make a return are very minimal.

Give it a good few months. At least 6. Then find somebody who can take you on with your budget.

But do some research first as this market is full of cowboy companies unfortunately.

But I must say I haven’t noticed any on here yet which is good to see.
