New freemium approach for our software company 1DayLater - what's your opinion?

Our web-based software - 1DayLater has implemented a new freemium model (Well we say 'new' - we've never come across it before - but no doubt someone has thought it up first!). I'd love to get some feedback from you guys.

The idea is that rather than using a 30 day free trial our service offers 3 test-drive passes, which can be used at any time for access to the premium features (see our blog post on this) One benefit of this is that 'new and returning' users will not be faced with an expired account after 30 days. One business drawback (potentially) could be a cashflow one, but we're looking at ways to limit this.

1DayLater is a service for tracking users time, money and mileage - via a web browser or mobile phone. It aims to help users with billing, mileage claims, organisation and with improving productivity.

We would love some feedback on this our new freemium approach. ([email protected]) or please leave a comment on our blog!
