Hello people again, I have set up an event called naughty school girl night and so far had loads of positive response, can anyone suggest ways in which I can decorate the pub to match the themed night? I don’t just want it to be an event with the same look of the pub any ideas people??????

It depends on who had been giving you lots of positive responses. If they are old men with macs and dark glasses then you might want to go with a police cell theme.

thankfully i've never been to one of these nights myself, i can only imagine what happens when you put girls with low self esteem in a room with drunken testosterone. that said they seem to run in unions and office party style clubs up and down the country so lawsuits aside you might be onto something.

if i did approve (which i don't), i'd suggest doing the pub up like the inside of a classroom. from what i remember, times tables posters, drawings by "naughty" schoolgirls and schoolboys.

The member was asking for a bit of advice for their event, not your approval.

A classroom look would work a treat.

I'm amused at the prudish comments given that this is the internet.

He probably broke off typing that to alt-tab between the other "interesting educational sites he was also looking at" :)

the post was a little pompous, judgemental and Victorian I think. As Xobby said, the OP wasn't looking for your approval dude.

I'm all for fancy dress partys but you make a theme and girls will chose to dress however they like based on that theme. This is basically saying you have to dress like a slut, which is not for all girls. This idea is kind of ridiculous - I have never heard of a "naughty schoolgirl" night, you have school themed fancy dress partys. But to call it a naughty schoolgirl party sounds like it is an idea from a perverted old man or a horny teenager, I mean is this a girls only party or something?

Whats next a "slutty nurse party"?

Oh yeah, and the bit of advice which I gave you went on to agree with.
Actually it was a tongue in cheek pisstake regarding the quality of punters the event will attract, not the event itself.

Give him a break. It's all about getting punters into the pub. Nothing else.

Which is likely to get more people through the doors?

    a) fancy dress night?
    b) school theme night?
    c) naughty school girls?

I know which I think will drive more traffic in.

I'm also not really liking the Naughty School Girl thing at all. I wouldn't go now and I wouldn't have gone when I was younger, but you could give it a try.

To decorate, try hanging an inflatable globe in one geography corner, as suggested times table posters, notice board with clubs to sign up to - netball club, chess club, science club, drama club.

    Banners of the different subjects.

    House points league board.

    Large school like crests/shields.

In order to help you with decorating the venue, to match the theme of 'naughty schools girls', we will need pictures of the 'naughty school girls'!!

I'm more than happy to help, just need a little inspiration!!!

I am not sure this is the right theme, it sounds like something from a brothel or a porn video.

Think you might want to think about the customers you want to attract and would this theme attract them.

You are certainly full of different ideas I give you that though.
