    Hi,

Could do with some advice, we have been developing Bespoke Job Tracking Software for large organisations to improve the way they run their day to day business for the past few years and for me about 10 years before that. We have decided to further develop the software and offer a similar system with all the latest technology for start up and growing businesses but as a Monthly Service.

The system basically follows the normal business Process, making appointments, creating quotes, converting enquires to jobs, completing jobs (remotely or in the Office), automatically creating the completed job ready for invoice, send push notifications, importing directly to Sage etc, the list goes on.

What I am looking for is approximately 10 serious companies to test the software before it goes live, and give some honest feedback. I would expect these companies to join but at a massively reduced rate that is Grandfathered in for life.

The other benefit will be to build features before going live, please message me if you are interested.

    Best Regards

Ok, so we are getting views but no responses at the moment. Maybe on reflection it looks spammy but feel free to post what systems you are using, or anything you might like from a Job tracking system. It will be greatly received.

Probably not getting much response because most members aren't part of large organisations and you also require them to pay just to do some testing.

Thank you for pointing that out and commenting but it's quiet the opposite. I don't want large organisations any more but normal family run business or start up types that are struggling with managing their day to day paperwork.

As for any payments upfront it's totally free to test and was going to give a massively reduced price for helping us out to serious companies getting involved.

    Thanks again for commenting

Biggest challenge is marketing. Both in the market research phase and then once the product or service has launched.

In the rush to launch marketing is the bit nearly everyone gets wrong. They either don't do it properly or they don't allocated sufficient resources. UKBF is littered with startups who tell us they have a facebook page, instagram and twitter but don't make any sales. When it's pointed out that's just not going to work (in most cases) and they need to spend money on advertising they all complain they don't have any money. And their market research often only comprised a surveymonkey thing and asking all their FB friends what they think of the idea.

    Wise word from @fisicx

Dashboard and work tracking applications are as old as the hills. The leaders in the field are Google with G-Suit and Microsoft with Office 365. Businesses buy into both of these for the low cost of storage, office applications (WP, SS, Etc) and email.
Neither, MS or Google chose to spend large amounts on marketing the job tracking capabilities of these products, but they are there nonetheless.
It takes around 5 minutes to set up a job tracking process in O365 SharePoint. And, the free offerings of cloud services from MS and Google can also be configured to track work. Why would anyone want to buy another app to do what is already there on the systems they use?

Having said that, spend enough on marketing and get the pitch right and it will sell.

Thanks again for all the posts, and totally agree that Marketing will be Key to its success. The market leaders for similar systems to MyBusinessTracker are systems like Joblogic or Workflowmax, if you check these out you can get an understanding of what we are offering. As I have stated before we have been doing this type of software for a number of years for large organisations and see the potential to offer our expertise and technology to a wider audience. We are using Push notifications on android devices rather than a dedicated app for field service engineers and I don't think Google or Microsoft applications cut it for this market, however if you understand the software in its entirety I am sure you can do it, just most users don't.

MS Flow and MS Dynamics deliver push to email, Windows App, Android App, IoS App and you don't need to write a line of code. The data source and data destination can be local file storage, cloud storage (any brand), SQL DB, spreadsheet, SharePoint list or library. There are Google Apps which can do the same.
The joy of it is that users don't have to know the entire suite of software, they just need to have an idea of what they want to achieve.

Thanks again, but don't see many businesses using this type of set up, not ever. Incidentally we do integrate with Zapier for some of the stuff you mentioned.
