Hi all new to this!! I was getting quotes for a merch a/c no. to use with Sagepay and the cheapest I could find was Elavon:

£99-Set up
1.8% Visa/Mastercard
20p-Debit Cards
48 Hour Clearance into your account!
Refunds: Same as above

Has anyone got any better quotes???

Never heard of Elavon but for starting rates they don't look too bad. I assume once you have got a trading history they can review the rates downwards?

If you join the Federation of Small Businesses one of benefits is the preferential rates they have agreed with streamline. They will initially be a bit higher than what you have quoted but once you have a trading history and depending on number of transactions, average transaction value etc the FSB can ask Streamline on your behalf to review the rates which will hopefully come down.

We are currently paying 1.195% Visa & 1.215% Mastercard.

As Davef has said, you could look at Streamline for the merchant a/c and go down the FSB route to get a reduction. Plus, there are other PSP's out there and not just Sagepay you know *ahem EcomMerchant ahem* ...
